Nothing can compare.... Being rowed out on the river, trailing the line in the water, listening to the silence, hearing the droplets fall from the oars, leaves rustling in the wind, and then, a quiver of exitement as the reel whirrs in response to the pull of a large fish on the hook. Or perhaps in the autumn... Join one of our experienced teams of elk hunters deep in the Namdal forest for a close-up encounter with the mighty animals. Take part as a hunter, or if you prefer, as an onlooker.. We can also organise hunting trips for woodland birds, wood grouse and grouse. In the evening you will be served a three course meal in pleasant, relaxed surroundings. |

| Hildrum Gard is situated at the centre of Overhalla 20 km from Namsos (airport) and 25 km from Grong (railway). It is 190 km from Trondheim International airport, Værnes, whilst Trondheim itself is 225 km distant.
After being destroyed by fire in 1993, the main building has been rebuilt in the traditional “Trønder “ style modelled on the original house which was dated back to 1711. The old shape and style are perfectly preserved. |

| The house contains 3 double rooms and 4 single rooms, with room for 10 persons. All rooms have their own bathroom and all are non-smoking. The building also contains a conference room with a capasity for up to 14 persons. |

| Good food has an important role in the well-being of our guests. A substantial breakfast in the morning will carry you through a day by the river or in the conference room. In the evening a three course meal is served in the dining room. We are of course fully licensed. Additional serving can be arranged in liaison with the hosts, for example; service on the riverbanks. Our guests are our top priority. We extend a heartly welcome to you all ! |
